Tip
Focus on self-love, paying attention to your inner world, and grounding yourself into the safety of your body. You don’t have to feel ‘good’ every day for your wellbeing to improve. Your awareness and care are already acts of healing.
(Bonus) Mini Challenges
-
Create a self care checklist and write things you want to do for your self care on them (or which the happiest, most radiant, beautiful and energetic) would do in their daily life. Then find small ways, even 5 minutes, to do that with play and joy for becoming that person.
Why it works: This helps you bring more moments of self-love and care into your life. Your mind will notice you are someone who loves themselves and takes care of themselves and it will start to make you feel this way.
-
Imagine a scene from your happiest life (or create one) then imagine and immerse all your senses to create a vivid mental picture of what it looks and feels like to your body. Write about this space, reread it often, and try to continue visiting it when you have time.
Why it works: The brain doesn't know the difference between reality and imagination. It only takes in sensory signals and uses the past expectation to take its best guess. When you immerse all your senses vividly you are creating a real experience and feeling in your body of this happy place.
-
Listen to, indulge in, or create uplifting activities (based on your version of what uplifts you) take time to incorporate those things into your daily life and maybe write about how they go after. Examples: Voice memo of what you'd like to remember to focus on, writing affirmations, drawing a scene or writing it of your dream life, etc. the list goes on, do what makes you feel best.
Why it works: Everything we see, listen too, or indulge in is shaping our brain and our future. When you listen to uplifting things aligned with who you want to become, you are feeding your brain alignment and resonance with that state.
