Daily Prompts

• What can I do today to become 1% better than I was yesterday? 

• What feelings would I like to call into my life today?

• Why would I like to call those feelings into my life?

• What is one small action I can take today that aligns or moves me toward that feeling? 

• What was my favorite part of today? 

For end of day:

• What is one thing I can learn or take away from my experiences today that will help me tomorrow? 

• What did I do today and why?

• What are some strong emotional or repeating thoughts I had and what action did they lead to?

Prompts

• What would I like to discover about myself? Why? 

• What does growth mean to me? What would that feel like? How can I take small actions daily that align with this feeling and feel proud of my wins along of the way? 

• What are some reoccurring patterns I have noticed in my life? How do I feel about these? If it's not happy, calm or aligned, can I figure out why I do this in the first place? Why does that feeling matter to me? How can I replace it with something that makes me happier while fulfilling the same deep need?

Tip

Focus on progress rather than perfection and being 1% each day. That's what real growth is about. It's also about taking something from each day or learning something from your experiences. Self discovery is about discovering your true inner self. You can do that with stillness, introspection, noticing patterns and mindfulness. Growth isn’t linear. The days you feel uncertain often hold the most insight — write down what that discomfort is teaching you.

(Bonus) Mini Challenges

  • Write down your favorite things as a child and why you loved them.

Why it works: This helps you re-enter and discover what made you feel your best when you were just living for the sake of it, having fun, playing, feeling joy, it helps you enter that child-like wonder again. 

  • Write how your perspective has shifted from a strong moment in your life and how it impacted you or your perspective after it.

Why it works: This helps you discover how you feel about strong emotional events in your life and how they are impacting your current state. 

  • Be still for 5 minutes, notice the thoughts that pull you and swirl around in your head, without straying your focus, after the 5 minutes is over discover if those align with who you want to be and where they may have originated.

Why it works: This helps you notice the things you're paying attention to and whether those align with who you want to be or your values. At the least, you will learn more about what you are believing about your reality now.
